Eucerin Replenishing Face Creme Night 5% Urea plus Lactate

Intensive night care for dry skin

Revitalises the face during sleep, leaving it soft, smooth and hydrated.

Eucerin Replenishing Face Creme Night 5% Urea is an intensive overnight face cream for dry and tight-feeling skin. Enriched with Urea and Lactate, two compounds that bind moisture, it instantly hydrates dry facial skin, reducing the feeling of tightness. In addition to reducing roughness by maintaining skin hydration (rough skin is often caused by a lack of moisture), Eucerin Replenishing Face Cream Night 5% Urea also smoothes the skin.

Clinical Studies

The efficacy of Eucerin Replenishing Night Creme 5% Urea was tested on 30 female people with dry skin. The product was applied twice daily on the face for 2 weeks,  and each patient’s facial skin was assessed by a physician at baseline and after 2 weeks of application.

The efficacy of Eucerin Replenishing Face Creme Night 5% Urea was also tested on another 32 people with dry skin. The product was applied twice daily on the inner forearm. Moisturization, roughness and skin barrier function were assessed at baseline, 2 hours after the 3rd application, after 3 days and after 2 weeks of application.

MAIN FINDINGS

  • Highly pronounced, significant improvements in facial dryness and facial tension
  • Significantly reduced dry skin symptoms (redness due to dryness, facial scaling, facial itching)
  • The majority of patients described the creme’s tolerability as “good” or “very good”
  • Significantly increased skin moisturization as soon as week 1, compared to untreated skin
  • Moisturization gradually decreased after treatment was discontinued
  • Significantly reduced skin roughness as soon as week 1, compared to untreated skin
  • The decrease in skin roughness was maintained throughout the treatment period
  • Significantly improved skin barrier function, as measured by a decrease in transepidermal water loss, compared to untreated skin

Frequently asked questions

Why do I need a special moisturiser for my face?

Your face is generally exposed to the causes of dry skin, like sunshine, wind and detergents, much more frequently than the rest of your body, and therefore needs frequent moisturization to prevent dry skin symptoms, such as itching, redness due to dryness and scaling. Eucerin Replenishing Face Creme Night 5% Urea contains key ingredients that lock in moisture to maintain long-lasting hydration. Learn more about dry facial skin.

Why should I use Eucerin Replenishing Face Creme Night 5% Urea instead of just using a body product?

Facial skin is different than body skin, and Replenishing Face Creme Night 5% Urea is specifically formulated for facial skin, making it light, and well tolerated (when used on the face).

Is Eucerin Replenishing Face Creme Night 5% Urea safe for children?

This product was not designed for children, and therefore has not been tested by children.
